🚁Job summary

Are you an experienced H160 TRI/TRE/Commander looking to combine operational flying with a key training role in a professional offshore environment?

At our Den Helder base, you will primarily serve as Commander, operating scheduled shuttle flights in support of offshore Oil & Gas operations. In addition, part of your time will be dedicated to fulfilling your responsibilities as Type Rating Instructor (TRI) and/or Type Rating Examiner (TRE).

You will operate in a highly structured, safety-driven environment where professionalism, teamwork and operational excellence are essential.

Please note: Due to operational requirements, candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the Den Helder base.

What you'll be doing

Flight Preparation & Execution

  • Perform full technical preparation of flights (route planning, fuel calculations, aircraft inspection)

  • Execute flights in accordance with SOPs, limitations and performance requirements of the H160

  • Ensure all aircraft safety systems are fully operational

  • Complete accurate pre- and post-flight administration

  • Report any incidents, defects or irregularities

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Maintain full familiarity with national and international aviation legislation, agreed aviation practices and local procedures

  • Operate in accordance with the Operations Manual, FOM, FOIs and company procedures

  • Respect company policies including Code of Conduct, Safety, Quality and Drugs & Alcohol policies

  • Maintain high standards of crew discipline, conduct and personal appearance

Offshore & Team Responsibilities

  • Support offshore Oil & Gas operations as assigned by the Chief Pilot

  • Remain flexible for operational needs (e.g. double crewing, standby storm duties)

  • Demonstrate strong customer service awareness

  • Lead by example and promote team spirit

  • Adapt to local culture, environment and client needs

Training

  • Coach and train pilots

  • Provide thorough briefings

  • Give well-grounded feedback, taking into account all external elements and placed in the right context, ensuring that the pilots are aware of their performances

  • Follow-up of the tests and performances: evaluate and document the performances and progress

  • Perform administrative duties relative to the trainings and exams

Skills & experience

Mandatory qualifications

  • EASA ATPL(H) License

  • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical

  • Valid EASA IFR (H) Multi Engine

  • TRI/TRE certified

  • H160 Type Rating

  • English Proficiency Level 4

Total expected flight hours

  • 3000 hours on rotary wing

  • 1500 hours as PIC

  • 1200 hours PIC Multi Engine helicopter

  • 500 hours in similar aircraft complexity

  • 100 hours on contract type

Competencies

  • Dutch speaking/understanding is a plus, but not mandatory

  • Strong ICT skills (aviation software & administrative systems)

  • Strong decision-making skills

  • Professional, customer-oriented attitude

  • Flexible and operationally resilient

  • Team player with leadership presence

  • Living within commuting distance of Den Helder

  • You are a natural born teacher who likes to share your knowledge with the pilots and enjoys improving the pilots’ performances. The pilots feel comfortable with you at their side and know you are enhancing their possibilities to move to a next level in their professional performance.
